Dance To The Beat

This song shows potential to become one of the greats. I liked the melody, however felt the saw line was a little repetitive. I also think that you ought to add more instruments including: a bass line for the offbeats, backgrounds chords, and perhaps crashes in there to add some more energy. This is a very good first song, and you seem like you will be a great techno artist.

Yes I know it is a bit repetitive. I will probably have to learn a bit more about the program so I can start making tracks with more instruments and less repetitiveness. (I hope it will come with experience)

Great song. The only thing I would change is the instrument introduced at 1:22 that carries on until 3:26 (it sounds like some version of Acid). I don't feel that it was in keeping the tone the rest of the song creates. Perhaps try a saw, bells, chimes, just play around with it =). Another thing is that the introduction seemed a little long, so perhaps cut 4 measures from before the percussion is introduced. Other than that I thought this song was pretty awesome. It was nice, mellow, and fun to listen to. It has a quality that makes feel like it ought to be used in some sort of games. Great job on this one.

I'm not sure you're looking for any critiques since you can't go back and edit the song. However, in my opinion this could be changed into a very cool ambient piece. The percussion introduced around 4 seconds doesn't really keep in with the whole feeling of the song. Perhaps try something a little lighter, maybe just some cymbals, or no drums at all. Variation in the background melody is something I feel that needs to be introduced too. Overall I believe it has good potential to be either a techno song or an ambiance piece. Nice work.

This is a very cool song I thought. I'd like to see a more evening out of the instrument volumes - more specifically the piano in the intro as well as the saw melody ought to be louder, as they are both great parts. Perhaps make some variation with the offbeat bass notes, and add some drums for some constant energy. In conclusion, I liked it a lot.

I guess the piano was a mistake making that quiet, If you listen to "Seeing a Dream", you'll find the same piano. I didn't really want to make it stand out.
